Method Of Wudhu

a. One should be clean, with proper Istinjaa, before making Wudhu.
b. In order to get the full thawaab of Wudhu, try to do the following before starting:
c. Sit on a high, clean place.
d. Make sure that the water and utensils to be used for Wudhu are Taahir (paak, that is, clean and pure).
e. Sit and make Wudhu in such a place where water does not splash onto your body.
f. If possible, face towards the Qiblah.
g. Make your intention (Niyyah) for Wudhu.
h. Recite the du'aa before Wudhu. (See Du'aa tab)
i. Wash both hands up to the wrists thrice, making sure that water reaches between the fingers.
j. Put a handful of water into the mouth and rinse it thoroughly thrice.
k. Sniff water into the nostrils thrice to clean them and wash the tip of the nose thrice.
l. Wash the face thrice from right ear to left ear and from forehead to throat.
m. Wash the right arm, then the left arm, from wrist to elbow thoroughly, thrice.
n. Move the palm of the wet hand over the head, starting from the top of the forehead to the back, and pass both hands over the back of the head to the neck.
o. Rub wet fingers into the grooves and holes of both ears, and also pass the wet thumbs behind the ears.
p. Pass the backs of the wet hands over the nape.
q. Wash both feet to the ankles, starting from the right, making sure that water reaches between the toes and all other parts of the feet.
r. After making Wudhu, recite Kalimah Shahaadah and the du’aa after Wudhu (see Du'aa tab)
